The Base de Dados Tropical (BDT) Tropical Database is a department within the Fundacao Tropical de Pesquisas e Tecnologia (FTPT) 'Andre Tosello', a Brazilian not-for-profit foundation. The information available is extensive in subjects such as biodiversity, environmental education, botany, molecular biology, zoology, meteorology, and environmental legislation. FTPT also maintains the BIN21 (Biodiversity Information Network). The BDT offers access to publications, as well as links to other biodiversity sources on the Internet.
